Hooks That Whisper the Right Reminder When You Touch the Wrong File
Built a small reminder layer that watches what file I'm about to edit and surfaces the relevant set of rules for that part of the system — only when those rules apply, never preloading them. Frontend file gets frontend rules. Test file gets test rules. Knowledge-base writes get the one rule that's caused the most pain when forgotten. The reminders are advisory, not blocking — they coach, they don't gatekeep. The whole thing reads its own rules from a directory of markdown files at runtime, so adding a new subsystem rule means writing one file and the reminder layer picks it up automatically. Caught two real bugs in my own glob handling during smoke tests; fixed before shipping.
