Transport diagnostics: the phone-to-watch link now explains itself
Built a diagnostics layer for the phone-to-watch connection after its failure cost a full day to diagnose by hand. The phone now records every send attempt with which delivery path carried it, observes transfer completions (previously invisible on both devices), and timestamps the state transitions that previously had to be inferred. A developer screen leads with a plain-English verdict — what is broken and what to fix — readable in seconds on set with no computer or network. The design was adversarially reviewed across three rounds, with the review's headline catch folded in: a counter pattern the screen originally called proof of failure also occurs in healthy operation, so the instrument now refuses to overclaim.
