Fixed a diagnostic recorder that had been quietly switched off for weeks

A troubleshooting log used to investigate rare, hard-to-reproduce faults has a deliberate size limit: once full, it stops writing and leaves a single marker saying so, rather than discarding evidence. In practice it wrote that marker again on every app launch — dozens of them — and each one pushed the file further past the limit it was meant to enforce. The result was an instrument that looked healthy but had recorded nothing for weeks, which would have turned a failed investigation into a silent dead end. The limit is now genuinely a limit, and the fix ships with a test that reproduces the original failure.
